Description
Paper logs and visual inspection alone leave a gap in chain-of-custody records. A seal can look intact from a distance while a tampering event goes unnoticed until the shipment reaches its destination. Our RFID security seals close that gap by combining a mechanical tamper-evident lock with an embedded RFID chip: once sealed, the chip stores a unique, factory-programmed ID that cannot be cloned, and any attempt to open the seal is permanently recorded in the chip’s memory for verification at the next read point.
As a direct manufacturer, we integrate RFID modules into our cable seal and padlock seal bodies, giving you the same mechanical strength and locking reliability as our standard security seals, plus a built-in layer of electronic identification. We support custom encoding, sequential numbering, and surface printing to match your tracking system, and our team can advise on chip and frequency selection based on your reader infrastructure and checkpoint distances.
Feature
- Tamper Status Alarm: Unauthorized opening permanently flips the chip’s status, which is flagged at the next scan.
- Checkpoint-Ready Scanning: Reads reliably by handheld or fixed-gate UHF readers, cutting manual inspection time.
- Custom Encoding & Printing: Pairs custom ID encoding with laser-printed logos, barcodes, and serial numbers.
- Weather & Impact Resistant: Housing withstands moisture, dust, and impact across outdoor transit conditions.
- Cross-System Compatibility: Chip data structure works with standard EPC Gen 2 reader networks already deployed at most ports and yards.

FAQs
A: A standard seal only provides visual tamper evidence — you have to physically inspect it to confirm integrity. A smart RFID seal adds an embedded chip that stores a unique ID and records tamper events electronically, so your team can verify seal status with a scanner instead of a manual check.
A: No. Each chip is factory-programmed with a unique identifier at manufacturing and cannot be rewritten to match another seal. Once the mechanical lock is cut or broken, the seal cannot be reapplied or reused.
A: Our seals use the UHF EPC Class 1 Gen 2 / ISO 18000-6C protocol, compatible with most commercial fixed-gate and handheld RFID readers. Share your existing reader model with our team and we’ll confirm compatibility before production.
A: Yes. We support custom ID encoding alongside physical customization like logos, barcodes, and sequential numbers, so the electronic and printed identifiers stay aligned with your internal records.
A: Yes, we provide samples for testing with your actual reader setup to confirm read reliability and locking performance. Custom-encoded samples require a small setup fee, refundable upon bulk order confirmation.
